Missions

Hello! We are the Nakatsukas, Brian from Pearl City, Hawaii, and Yuka from Sapporo, Japan. Since 2012, we have been serving as missionaries to the people of Hachinohe in Aomori Prefecture.

Our journey in Japan had its share of challenges. The first two years were particularly tough, and at times, we found ourselves considering a different path. However, during these trying times, the FBCPC family stepped in, becoming our unwavering mission partners. Their support and encouragement have been instrumental in our perseverance and dedication to this challenging journey.

As you can see from the pictures, the English and Japanese congregations have been instrumental in many ways, helping us extend Christ's love to our community.

In 2015, we took a significant step by opening our first English school at home. It was followed by establishing a second school in Oirase City in 2021, just a short five-minute drive from our house. Through these schools, we have been able to connect with the community, the students, and their parents, sharing the gospel and building relationships. The Lord has guided us every step of the way, and in May 2022, He opened the door for us to start a house church called The Well.

Our vision for The Well is to be a beacon of hope for the lost, a place to equip believers, and a platform to help them fulfill their calling in God's ministry. We are dedicated to making disciples and raising leaders for small groups. Additionally, we provide Bible studies for individuals who are unable to attend Sunday services regularly. We humbly ask for your prayers that they will be firmly rooted in the truth and grow in their desire to serve the Lord, as this is a crucial part of our ongoing mission.

We anticipate a greater harvest as we continue to move forward with one heart in Christ Jesus. We are deeply grateful for your continued support and prayers.
